5500+ KM whirlwind vacation in just over 15 days starting with travel through southern BC: Victoria, Princeton, Osoyoos, Castlegar, Cranbrook
Spent the first night in Manning Park, then carried on and spent a couple days at Champion Lakes.
I crossed over into Alberta and explored some new areas while heading north. I managed to mostly keep ahead of the storm going south and east missing the tornado to the west of Calgary and arriving safely in Drumheller. The next day I returned to visit and overnight with famliy in Calgary before heading to Drayton Valley, Hinton, Grande Cache, Grande Praire, and finishing my northward exploration of Alberta visiting my friend Tony in Manning (near the Peace River in Notikewin Provincial Park).
I then headed south and west back into BC, visiting family and friends in Dawson Creek, before continuing homeward through Tumbler Ridge, Chetwyn, Prince George (family and some fishing), Barkerville, Williams Lake and back to the coast. NOTE: do not travel thru the Fraser Canyon and lower mainland again the Monday of a summer long weekend. Think Indy 500 with big trucks and motorhomes mixed in, and 30deg weather before lunch.
